the HOLOCAUST
The Nazi New Order was extremely terrifying when it came upon the extermination of Jews; with the help of the secret police Hitler was able to start genocide as a solution toward the Jewish people. Reinhard Heydrich, head of SS, began the Einsatzgruppen to which the Nazi’s would try to starve residents in Polish cities. In June 1941, the Einsatzgruppen began to execute and burn any Jew present. To speed the execution of Jews, the Nazi’s bulit death camps where they would ship European Jews to Poland to work and to starve to death. Aushshwirz was known as the largest death camp present in Poland, the first Jews to get eliminated there were the Polish ghettos. Six million Jews were killed in death camps, concentration camps, and labor camps. As a result, the Holocaust had murdered about 90% of the Jews present in Europe. To top all of this off, collaborators helped catch Jews that were in hiding;although the allies knew about the concentration camps that were set up they decided to finish the war first before going a step further with Germany.
