battle of the bulge
The Battle of the Bulge began on December 16 1944 and ended on January 16 1945, the allies were pushing back German troops and thought that soon the war would end. However, Hitler decided to split the allied forces in to two by breaking through Ardennes in Luxembourg and Belgium. Throughout this battle, the Germans were able to create a gap between the Northern and Southern American line. After an extreme battle fought with heavy weaponry, the bulge vanished from bombs and gunshots on the battlefield.
